HOW TO PLAY
- The game starts with the player whose name begins with the letter closest to the letter “Ա” in the Armenian alphabet. Play then continues clockwise.
- Take one card from the deck and choose one of the topics shown on it for the current round. Some topics require clear and specific answers, while others are broader and allow associative answers. For example, when playing the “Hospital” card, you can say words such as doctor, patient, measles, syringe, muscle, laparoscopy, and many other words related to the topic.
- If you draw a “Player’s Choice” card, the player may choose an entirely new topic.
- The blue side of the cards contains easier topics intended for younger players, while the light-blue side contains more challenging topics for adults or experienced players.
Starting a Round
- Announce the selected topic and press the timer button in the centre of the wheel.
- You have 10 seconds to answer. Since the wheel does not contain every letter of the Armenian alphabet, answers must begin with one of the letters available on the wheel. Press the first letter of your answer on the wheel, then press the timer button to restart the countdown.
- Pass the turn to the next player.
- Letters that have already been pressed during the current round cannot be used again. As the available letters gradually run out, the game becomes more challenging and the tension increases.
Elimination
A player is eliminated from the current round if they:
- fail to give an answer within 10 seconds, before the signal sounds;
- give an answer that does not match the topic (the decision is made by a majority of the players), or fail to find another acceptable answer within 10 seconds;
- press a letter with which they cannot give an acceptable answer.
- When a player is eliminated, the next player presses the timer button and continues the round.
- The game continues until only one player remains. That player wins the card for the round.
- For the next round, choose a new card and press the black button on the wheel to reset the letters to their starting position.
Additional Round
- If all the letters have been used but there are still players remaining, the game continues with an additional round.
- Reset the letters to their starting position and continue with a new topic. Players must now give 2 answers within the same 10-second period.
- The last remaining player wins and receives both cards that were played.
- If more than one player survives the additional round, play another topic. Players must now give 3 answers within 10 seconds. Continue until only one player remains and has collected the 3 cards required for victory.
Victory
- The game continues until one player collects 3 cards and becomes the winner.
- If you would like to play longer, you can agree to play for 4, 5, or more cards.
Preparation
Turn the wheel upside down and correctly insert the batteries. Then switch the wheel on by moving the switch to the “ON” position.
Turn the wheel upright, take the cards out of the holder, and place them on the table so that they are accessible to all players.
Important: To make the batteries last longer, remember to switch the wheel off after the game by moving the switch to the “OFF” position.
